PBN Seeks Director of Preservation Services

Preservation Buffalo Niagara is seeking qualified candidates to serve as the organization’s Director of Preservation Services. Preservation Buffalo Niagara (PBN) is a 501c3 non-profit and the only full service preservation resource organization serving Western New York. PBN advocates for our architectural treasures and historic neighborhoods; supports recognition of our resources through State and National Register nominations; educates elected officials, property owners, and community members on the benefits of historic rehabilitation; guides communities in determining their assets, appropriate preservation designations and tools; and works to create communities that showcase their historic identity as they grow and prosper.
The Director of Preservation Services will work to develop and oversee PBN’s technical and community services, including our preservation workshop program, our work to increase the strength and effectiveness of our Certified Local Governments (CLG), and our coordination with local preservation districts and historic commissions, the State Historic Preservation Office, and the National Parks Service.
The Coordinator will work with the ED as appropriate to cultivate relationships with our technical and community partners in order to expand and deepen the reach of preservation and preservation services in Western New York in conjunction with the goals set forth in PBN’s Business and Strategic Plans. The Director will coordinate with other staff as appropriate to ensure that all PBN programs are strategically linked and mutually supporting.
