In Buffalo’s glory days, the mansions of Millionaire’s Row constituted a tightly knit neighborhood where everyone knew each other and many were related. Now a National Historic District, we’ll discuss these architectural treasures and the business barons who built them.

Inside the Central Terminal
Featured on the TV show Ghost Hunters, this abandoned train station evokes poignant memories of departure and reunion. Volunteers have arrested deterioration, restored the tower clock, and conduct regular events in this Art Deco masterpiece. Hear the terminal’s history and see further plans.

Parkside Neighborhood
Take a walk in this Frederick Law Olmsted-designed neighborhood and you will be impressed. Highlighted by Frank Lloyd Wright’s Martin House, an art deco Pierce Arrow showroom, and Tiffany windows inside the Church of the Good Shepherd, Parkside is world-renowned for its picturesque, century-old homes.

Richardson-Olmsted Complex
Walk the storied perimeter of the former Buffalo State Asylum. Surrounded by Olmsted landscaping, this largest and greatest of H. H. Richardson’s creations influenced the much emulated Richardsonian Romanesque style. (Interior tours have been unavailable since 2003.)
