Welcome to our text/smartphone app that features An Architectural and Community Treasure Hunt. The Buffalo Tour series that gives you the opportunity learn about Buffalo's architectural and cultural history, while completing challenges, and earning prizes from local restaurants and shops.

The Buffalo: This Place Matters - SCVNGR Trek series was launched on October 17, 2011 during the National Preservation Conference, which had over 2,000 visitors from all over the country and world. Visitors used our self-guided tour series to independently travel and learn throughout the city of Buffalo, via their phones.

Participate in our Buffalo: This Place Matters Holiday Challenge, which will run now through New Years.  Spend your holiday season in Buffalo touring and learning about the cities rich architectural and cultural history, while earning points and great prizes. Use your phone to access our self-guided tours, and at your leisure, complete our challenges to earn prizes from local restaurants and shops unique to Buffalo. This is a great way to spend time with friends and family, as well as network.  We will periodically host special Rewards drawings for all who participate in our PBN Trek series, including a Thanksgiving grand prize rewards drawing on Friday afternoon, November 25.  Start playing now and start winning.
