Private Groups and Schools
Our offerings include educational tours for young children to relaxing diversions for adults. If you're looking for something in particular, contact us! Fill out a Tour Request Form at the bottom of this page. Rates depend on group size, topic, length, and other factors. For more information, call (716) 852-3300 or E-mail info@BuffaloTours.org.
School Groups
Elementary School classes take tours of Buffalo City Hall, see "The Buffalo Story" at architectural landmarks in downtown Buffalo, and learn about the Erie Canal at Buffalo's waterfront. School tours all meet New York State education standards. Teachers and chaperones take school tours for free. View our School Tours Brochure for more information.
College and High School student groups take orientation tours of downtown or enhance their studies of art, architecture, urban planning, and history. We also arrange many tours for Alumni Groups and Class Reunions.
Group Walking Tours
Almost all of our scheduled walking tours are available for private group tours as well. The Queen City Downtown tour is recommended as the best overview of downtown Buffalo. We also tailor tours to your request. Buffalo Tours provides one docent for up to twenty-five people, more for larger groups. We even offer discounts to groups of ten or more on most scheduled walking tours if you call ahead. Groups of ten or more touring Buffalo City Hall must arrange a private tour; call for rates.
Step-on Bus Guides
Buffalo Tours provides docents to lead tours inside your bus or van. One docent is provided per vehicle. We arrange sightseeing tours of the city as well as tours of churches in Buffalo. Bus tours usually last two hours but we are very flexible with times and locations. Let us know where you want to go, and we can probably get you there! We will even meet your group any place in the city for your convenience. We can help you make vehicle arrangements, too.
Lectures
Informative lectures about local history, architecture, preservation, or related topics are available at our downtown location or a venue of your choosing.
